I don’t believe that we ever live a life completely without fear; it is an innate part of who we are as humans.

To live life ‘alive’ asks you to step into many fears: to be your true self, to be YOUnique, to walk your path, to love, to feel the world, to embrace people closely into your life, to follow your dreams, to take risks, to speak your authentic voice, to fight from the heart, to experience the world in all its corners and colours and polar differences; these all require doing so with fear holding our breath in the uncertainty of the outcome…

As we grow through life we learn that things can hurt us, be taken from us, cause us to suffer and make us feel uncomfortable. We learn that we are vulnerable; open to being criticized, failing, losing, being found out, to suffering the consequences of making bad decisions, of being shown up, and being heart broken… it is a very long list of discomfort and pain. Our awareness gives us the ability to bring past experiences into our present to then create fears projected into our futures.

We become aware that life can throw us some pretty shitty experiences; physical, emotional and spiritual. We become afraid.  I don’t know why some of us come through so much pain; why so many people suffer so much and they do, in ways we often never know and rarely see. Your story feels like your whole world and yet someone else’s world might be falling apart in the most painful of ways. None of us walk through life without feeling pain, hurt and fear; unless we feel nothing.

Can we turn fears around? Can our most uncomfortable experiences in life be used to create purpose, to deepen compassion, develop empathy, grow awareness, stimulate change? Can our actions born of fear reduce the fear in others lives where they may not feel so strong? There must be something more? We can never undo the past but we can change the present. Can we lead by example?

So we have a choice – feel the fear and stay safe OR feel the fear and do it anyway. One choice feeds the fear and the other ultimately dissolves it.

Your choice.

Run and hide, stay stuck and procrastinate, avoid and divert. Regardless your fears become the silent director of your every choice. Fear becomes us and channels into all number of symptoms like anxiety, depression, anger, controlling, addictions, hopelessness.

What if we took a deep breath and decided to take small steps of change with the fear still in our hearts somehow trusting that there is a strength within big enough to overcome anything that we are faced with?

A life without fear is one without challenges and success, obstacles and triumphs.
A life without fears is one without the drive to find value, meaning and worth. A life without fear is numb; do you think the super heroes in our minds don’t feel fear?
There is no fight, no passion, and no call to rise up and become more in the absence of our fears.

What if it was actually our hurts and the pain of our experiences that were holding us back? What if we are always strong enough to face our fears. But that within we hold hurt and emotions stuffed down paralyzing us. What is it that is causing us to be stuck; and are you ready to heal this?

We can live a life without hurt. I believe this is where the healing must happen in order for us to feel strong to live with our fears such that we grow through experiences that before we would have been too scared to overcome. We would do X, we would feel that Y is possible and we would feel deserving of Z! It is the hurt and pain deep within us that creates fear. Fear of loss, fear of being inadequate, fear of being alone, fear of abandonment, fear of letting go, and I will allow you to fill in the blanks.

Fear:

Fear is a powerful and primitive human emotion. It alerts us to the presence of danger and was critical in keeping our ancestors alive. Fear can actually be divided into two stages, biochemical and emotional. The biochemical response is universal, while the emotional response is highly individualized.

Fear feels big in our bodies; we feel it across the chest, in our heart and lungs. It often travels right into our throats creating a tightness and lump, and when we are feeling fear it blocks us from being present and in our hearts. Decisions become harder to make, and we feel isolated and detached from everything and everyone around us. Fear paralyses us, disconnects us from the flow or life and steals our time and freedom. We become reactionary, rather than creative and in an active flow. We are defensive, self absorbed, and often judge things before we have all the facts. Fear causes us to lash out or bolt; it affects our health massively and places the body under chronic stress often resulting in health issues and sleep problems. If we do not deal with the emotions of fear; fear runs our life and ruins our health.

It might seem easy, I hear you think, for someone to advise that you just let go of fear. I am not someone who will tell you to just ‘let go’. I have been in a place of fear; I know her dark shadow, the intense panic and utter isolation of feeling fear rip through your throat and chest; the very ground under you giving way and feeling like the sky is falling on your head. I have been in a place of daily fear, night terror and feeling suicidal thoughts. No we cannot just let go of fear; BUT we can allow in all that heals us and very slowly step by step start a journey towards better feeling emotions. The first step, is to believe that it can all get better, and to believe that you are worthy of good things starting to happen and arriving (some time in the future) at a much better place. You do have to do a little work however, on setting your sights and goals on where you wish to be, how this better place feels and looks like. You have to know where you want to go, and what it will feel like there.

To heal fear requires the opposite:

  • love
  • surrender
  • trust
  • breathe
  • release
  • letting go

I chose a special Rose to make this remedy because the energy, scent, presence and vibration of this rose creates all of these feelings within the body. We don’t treat the fear; but allow in all it’s opposites and these give us the strength to do what we must do to step forwards.

The details:

This remedy was made from a new blooming red-pink rose from my garden, a selection of four of my precious South African tiger eye spheres including red tiger eye (Dragon’s eye) and blue tiger eye (Hawk’s eye), and the light of a selenite lamp on 3-6-17. Tigers eye to me is a stone of energy, the warrior, of clear mind and personal power. Tiger’s eye brings a powerful energy into this remedy to gift you strength.

Introduction to the Meaning and Uses of Tiger’s Eye

Tiger’s Eye is a most ancient talisman, mysterious and powerful, revered and feared – an “all-seeing all-knowing eye,” thought to grant a wearer the ability to observe everything, even through closed doors. It was chosen by the Egyptians for the eyes in their deity statues to express divine vision, and was believed to provide the protection of the sun and earth combined, of Ra, the sun god and Geb, god of the growing land. Linked to the magical tiger, the king of beasts in Eastern mythology, Tiger’s Eye portrayed courage, integrity and right use of power. Roman soldiers carried it to deflect weapons and to be brave in battle. It has been highly regarded throughout history as a stone of prosperity and good fortune, protecting one’s resources and reflecting back malice or threats from others. to continue reading please click here:

There are many places online to discover more about Tiger’s eye. For example: http://meanings.crystalsandjewelry.com/tigers-eye/

Selenite is a very special stone to me and I have selenite in all forms in my home including this lamp. Selenite is a stone of very high energy and I wanted to add this energy into the remedy to bring you the strength and belief to move through your challenges gracefully and with a strong sense of self belief as well as clarity in where you wish to go. To read more about selenite see here or many of the other webpages describing her energy. Of simply feel her energy with your heart.

Transcription 4th June 2017

It’s June 4th 2017. I’m currently spending some time working with my remedies; Fear, Dewy sunrise earth connection 2017, and thistle and hedgerow rose.

I’ve just taken a rose that I feel will help with fear, freeing up those big feelings. We feel fear quite deeply in our bodies, it’s quite an unsettling feeling. It moves around the solar plexus and the heart, the lungs. We feel like we have difficulty breathing, it moves up through our throats, we tend to become very reactive instead of present and acting more from what feels right rather than avoiding what feels wrong, or just avoiding uncomfortable feelings. (In other words we tend to avoid the fears rather than find grounding in the present).

Fear tends to make us scatty and panicky and (places us) completely out of our hearts and all in our heads. Fear is a very consuming emotion. It’s a selfish feeling. We tend to only be aware of ourselves or those we are trying to protect. It’s hard to see from the other side (i.e. the other point of view).

The heart races, everything feels like it is moving very fast, our energy. There is a lot in our world to create fear right now, the way the media reports the news; everything is negative. We are afraid of what might come at us, we are afraid of getting things wrong, we are AFRAID. Fear is everywhere.

To heal fear we must bring in the opposite feelings and emotions into the body: Love, breathing, lightness, acceptance, surrender, release and letting go, breathing, being in the heart space. Everything slows down and we are more mindful. We make better decisions and we are more conscious and aware of things surrounding us.

I was cycling my bike yesterday and I started to feel fear; in every movement! Not trusting, tensing, fighting letting go, fighting against knowing that I felt safe. So I started to think about what fear was I feeling?: “others”. And then I thought more deeply about what does this feel like in my body, how can I help, what plant or tree or flower helps dispel fear and all I could think about was the most beautiful rose that I have in my garden currently. How just smelling this rose would just allow a release so I came straight home and made this remedy.

The rose is PURE LOVE. Beauty. It’s transient. It calls you to stop everything and just take a moment; which is how we dispel the fear. It brings us into our heart space and for those few seconds we feel safe, supported, that there is something bigger.

My rose remedy for fear, she does the same. She brings you back into the moment, your heart-space, she opens your lungs, your circulation, allows your body to relax, instills trust, a letting go knowing that the universe has your back. It takes you right into the present moment. Fear doesn’t live in the right now, it lives in the future and it lives in the past. Because when we stop everything generally the fear fades away (unless we are in the fighting for survival mode; then we do need a little bit of fear. It helps us to fight or flee so to speak). But we don’t need to be afraid during our days. if we make the right decisions and choices we can make our lives better (and feel better).

If we can remove the fear and face the challenges, overcome the obstacles, find the solutions, live in the now; then there is a feeling of content and not necessarily of being in control, but not being out of control.

Flow.

There is something so beautiful about that red rose. That gifts healing of those big fear feelings.

This rose remedy for fear helps you embrace all these mini fears and build and develop confidence such that the fear eventually will melt away. Sometimes this takes time and trust and a little bit of patience and faith. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that we will get where we want to go, but just telling ourselves where we want to be, and feel, and how we want our life to be is enough to set things in motion.

Remove, distract or lessen the fear (whichever way works for you), and allow in the opportunities, the knowing, the strength to take action. Fear makes us feel weak, rose reminds us that we are strong; of heart, of mind and body. She takes you into the depths of your fears in your dreams, and in your nap-time and meditations to allow their unraveling and their healing so that we wake up feeling refreshed.

We no longer feel alone.

It is time to drift off with this remedy and face my own fears, observe, have awareness and delve into them more; face the fear, dissolve the fear. Breathe, feel, love.
